It’s like…

15 Sep

It’s like I haven’t been in school for 5 years and I’ve been struggling to make ends meet and school is difficult to get back into, especially when it’s miles away from the last known subject of study undertaken.

Wait, no, that’s what it is.

Chelley started her first year of nursing pre-req’s.

… and Dave made an awesome cake to celebrate!

News Bulletin: Chelley saves the world!

5 Sep

On October 24th, the ever so sure she can fix the world: Chelley, is going to take a break from running and walk for a cure.  In her words: I am going to walk for a disease that haunts women all over the globe. No one is immune… yet.  With your help, and the help of thousands of other yearly walkers, I hope we can change that- if not for us, for our children.

I am walking for the same reason you’re still reading this blog post.  This disease has stuck someone in our lives.  Recently, for me, a co-worker.  Previously, my mother-in-law.  Beautiful women, wrought into disease ridden bodies by a monster we can overcome!  Please help me reach and exceed my goal to give what we can to help a friend, family member, mother, sister, cousin, niece, grand daughter, daughter, or just a fellow human who needs your help to heal.

If you would like to join the walk, please do, if you can’t, please do what you can to help save someone you love… perhaps, someday, yourself.  This is a disease that has struck us both, through friends and family, and we hope, with your help, to secure a brighter and healthier future for the women of tomorrow.
